Saltbox is the first venue by Cook & Waiter, Sydney’s most trusted event caterer. Nestled in the heart of vibrant Wunderlich Lane at the intersection of Redfern and Surry Hills, Saltbox celebrates the rich heritage of the area while embracing modern design, effortless Sydney style and culinary innovation. The team tasked us with naming, strategy, identity and a high converting website for their May 2025 launch.
Our Solution
We created a contemporary upmarket hospitality brand celebrating “a pinch of fancy”. Held in classy gold tones, accompanied by a classy typeface with a slightly unruly twist, and a really strong sense for graphic patterns, Saltbox celebrates the “never ordinary, always out-of-the-box”. The venue launched with a bang in June 2025 with events by global premium fashion brands and local Australian icons and a full calendar of bookings.
